Hugo Chavez visits Fidel Castro

News around the world sees the improvement of Fidel Castro's health since undergoing major surgery. One good friend had a surprise visit last January 30th, Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez. His visit was recorded by a cuban tv news (below is a clip of a footage taken). Sadly, it was not translated in English language at least the video is authentic proof about Fidel's conditions.

Hubble Space Telescope in bad condition

It seems mankind's "eye" to the universe seems to be failing after 17 years. Its been reported that Hubble's "Advanced Camera for Surveys" (ACS) which is a third-generation main camera and to-date the most expensive one is failing due to power failure. Wikipedia did an early update about Hubble's news. Its been confirmed that it will retire by 2013 and be replace by its successor telescope - James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). Good news for YouTube video users at Davos

From Davos, Switzerland Chad Hurley announced his plan of "Revenue sharing" for YouTube users. It seems his telling more on giving back what he have received (profit). According to the video which was taken during his interview, YouTube will release an innovation which he calls "audio finger printing". This will help identify the music contained on a specific video and once identified users have the ability to claim that content and generate revenue. For other details, watch Chad's explanations.

Microsoft Vista release date: January 30, 2007

May be you are now excited for the release of a long awaited next generation operating system (OS) or to others, is just another upgrade cost. With regards to GUI or graphical user interface of the system do improved much worth mentioning there new term "Aero". It also improved other functionalities which (some say) patterned from Mac OS X or Linux. But do you think its worth an upgrade now ? For me, after years of using Microsoft Windows, I have observed that "first release" means "more fixes to come". I have included this video preview to check out some of its new features.

Have you ever imagined that one day our world will be conquered by none other than - "robots" ? I think it will. Honda of Japan made a leap of progress with keeping up the pace for technology - copying humans thru "Asimo", Honda's flagship on robot technology. Personally, i do not know what good it could give to us humans but i think these scientists have GOOD INTENTIONS for human kind.
